About the Press

The Institute of Contemporary History Publishing House is a scientific publishing house that publishes only verified/reviewed latest research achievements in the field of humanities and social sciences. The publications are scientifically relevant and of high quality, meeting both technical standards and the editorial principles of an academic publisher. The collection Razpoznavanja/Recognitiones is dedicated to the publication of scientific monographs in the field of contemporary history. The publications are printed in Slovenian but include summaries in English. The collection Vpogledi/Perspicacités is dedicated to the publication of thematic scientific collective monographs in the field of historiography in several languages. Since 1960, the Press has been publishing Prispevki za novejšo zgodovino (Contributions to Contemporary History), one of Slovenia's leading academic history journals, which covers topics in the field of modern history of Central and Southeastern Europe in the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.
